Glossary
Seventy-seven terms the business runs on. Court, surety, money, in-house shorthand and systems. Where staff usage differs from the correct term, both are listed and the difference is called out. Searchable and filterable.
How to read these
- New to the project? Read the PRD summary and problem sections, then the Phase 1 map for the shape of the MVP in one picture.
- Arguing with scope? The kill list at the end of the PRD is the definition of done. Nine named artifacts; the MVP ships when they are gone.
- Lost in the vocabulary? Every term in these documents is defined in the glossary, including the in-house shorthand that means something other than it sounds.
- Looking for the distress path? Forfeiture, recovery and petitions are Phase 2. They appear in the lifecycle map and the timeline, but not in the PRD scope.
